2023 a success for Oxford Plastics

As we enter 2024, as a business we’d like to reflect on the year we’ve had and look to our future goals. We’ve celebrated a successful year both in the UK and in the US, in terms of both turnover, people and innovation.

Oxford Plastic Recruitment 2023

In 2023 we’ve recruited 38 people across key areas of the business including commercial, operations, logistics and customer care. Notably, we’ve welcomed Mike Riley as Business Development Manager in the US who is working to increase the company’s presence in the North East of the United States. We’ve also welcomed Dan Megherlich as the new Head of Sales for the UK and Europe.

Biggest Turnover on Record

We’re proud to announce that the company achieved the biggest turnover on record for FY2022 (April 2022 – April 2023) at £25million. This has mainly been driven by trench covers and road plates as well as other key products such as fence feet.

Andy Burns MD at Oxford Plastics said,

“2023 has been another hugely successful year in OPS and a further step forward in our performance. We delivered against our ambitious goals, by strengthening our service promise to our customers, and by continuing to invest in our people and organisation. As a team, we love to win, and we will do it again in 2024 as there is still so much more to come. Thank you to everyone for their support in making it happen”.

Promise to Customers

In 2023, we’ve kept our customers at the centre of everything we do by introducing a service level agreement, meaning your quote is handled in an agreed time frame, offering UK next day delivery.

Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance

We’ve also been focused on our charity work, raising money for local charity, Banbury Foodbank raising money by launching our very own Bake Off style competition and staff BBQ. We look forward to continuing our commitment to Banbury Foodbank in 2024.

Our sustainability efforts have continued in 2023 with the launch of our Sustainability Hub and with closed loop manufacturing using 12,937.38 tonnes of recycled PVC.
